In the evening of the same say, the final stage of “Quit&Win” competition took place at the NIH of Armenia. Initially, there were 368 persons, who registered for taking part in the competition. Four weeks later, 111 persons remained. The winner of the national campaign was Arsen Gasparian, born 1920, the town of Razdan, the Kotayk marz (province).

Armenian Parliament does not adopt the Draft law on tobacco and a number of amendments to the Laws "On Advertsement" and "On Administrative infringements" and "In the regulations of the State Commission for TV and Radio". The Draft Law 41 Deputies voted for and one abstained; the other Deputies, who were present at the session, preferred not to take part in the voting. A year ago another Tobacco Draft Law was submitted for consideration of the Parliament, but that time the draft was not adopted because of the lack of quorum

Working meeting at the Permanent Commission on Education and Science of the National Assembly of Armenia, dedicated to the Draft Law “On Tobacco”. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Commission Hranush Hakobyan with participation of international experts, representatives of the Ministry of Health and Armenian Public Health Alliance (NGOs alliance).
